"Mummy, Mummy, photo", I looked down to see Mia, pulling at my leg, with our camera in her hand, so I asked "Do you want a photo?" She nodded with great enthusiasm, so I took the camera & Mia ran (really ran) to the Christmas tree, where she sat down & said "Ready" and gave me this gorgeous smile. We had been trying to get a photo for over a week, everything in Good time Ii Guess :-) Once Ii had taken the photo Mia ran back to me saying "Look, Look" so I showed her a preview of the photo, which she nodded approvingly to & told me "good", then off she went again to play! She blows my mind sometimes, just way too clever!

Cup Day
We had a fantastic Cup Day, just hanging out with friends, a simple BBQ, gorgeous weather, lots of chatting, Mia & Isabelle having a great time playing, getting filthy eating watermelon! Oh what fun! I can't wait til there are more kids, i look forward to the day when the little tackers out number the oldies (how funny, i can now be classed as an oldie) Thanks to all those who came! Look forward to doing it again soon as the weather continues to get better.

Mia's 1st Dress Up Day
Today creche had a "Cup Day" theme, we were encouraged to dress up our children (if we wanted) as jocky's or in their "Cup Day" best. I decided a horse costume would be just gorgeous. It was so nice to create a costume for my baby, the 1st of many i am sure! I felt like a real mum, i was worried to begin with, how will i do this, i'm not creative, how can i dress Mia in a way that wont frustrate or annoy her. So here is the outcome, i think it's great, Mia didn't find it annoying, i'm actually a little proud of myself!

Ouch...

Yesterday Mia required her 1st ever bandaid. 16 months & 5 days old, i think we did pretty well to last this long. We not sure what she cut herself on, possible a plastic container, but it certainly bleed a lot. She was very brave, but wasn't too keen on the bandaid. This morning we took the bandaid off & it looked quite yucky, but while playing the flap of skin came off & now it looks not so bad. Mia is still a little confused as to why the tip of her thumb feels a little funny when she bumps it.

Our BIG girl
We'll I am no longer allowed to carry Mia's creche bag for her, she tells me with her eyes "Mum, I'm a big girl now, i can do it myself" She stretched 1 arm out for me to put the bag on then turns around so her other arm can slide through the next strap. It is so exciting, yet so scary, my baby is not a baby anymore, she really is a toddler, able to tell me exactly what she wants, how independant she is (and all those who know her know just how independent that is!). Everyday I am reminded how much i need to cherish each individual moment, each new skill, each old skill that is being replaced, my angel is growing up so fast. I love each new stage, but i also miss the old ones.
