Our BIG girl

We'll I am no longer allowed to carry Mia's creche bag for her, she tells me with her eyes "Mum, I'm a big girl now, i can do it myself" She stretched 1 arm out for me to put the bag on then turns around so her other arm can slide through the next strap. It is so exciting, yet so scary, my baby is not a baby anymore, she really is a toddler, able to tell me exactly what she wants, how independant she is (and all those who know her know just how independent that is!). Everyday I am reminded how much i need to cherish each individual moment, each new skill, each old skill that is being replaced, my angel is growing up so fast. I love each new stage, but i also miss the old ones.

Helping...

Today was a BIG day. We helped Dan move lots of timber & i think it was 14 cubic meters of soil. When we started the grass was still very wet & as we don't have any waterproof pants for mia we wrapped her legs in plastic wrap. It was a bit stiff to walk to start with, but did a great job & lasted just long enough for the grass to dry. As you can see in the photo's Mia also did her part in helping move the dirt! Even though it was hard work it was soooo great to share the time with D & S.

Memories

Mia has just started to walk around with her hands behind her back, it reminds me so much of my Gramps, I miss him so much!! Mia never got the chance to meet her Great-Gramps, yet she has a few characteristics that remind me of him. I pray that she will grow to be like her Gramps, he was so loving, patient, kind, gentle, FUN, cheeky, wise, oh he was awesome. He use to walk around with his hands behind his back & his tummy sticking out, we use to think he was so cute, now our little girl does it, & still it is sooo cute!

Friends

Some dear friends of our, C & L came to play today. It is amazing to watch Mia interact with younger children, she is so gentle, suprisingly patient, she is going to make a great big sister one day!! We love the time we get to share with these 2 beautiful people!
